Zawadi means gift in Swahili. ZAWADI exists to bring the beauty, flavour, culture and craftsmanship of Zanzibar into gifts that are worth giving — considered objects rather than souvenirs bought in a hurry.
We are a gifting house, not a souvenir shop. Everything we sell is prepared on the island after an order is placed, personalised for one recipient, and packaged to travel.
What we make
We begin with luxury handcrafted Zanzibar spice gift boxes. Over time we will extend into food, artisan products, hampers, corporate gifts and wedding gifts — but we publish products only once they are genuinely available.
How we work
Made to order in Zanzibar. Your box is prepared, personalised, filled, checked and wrapped for one order. Small variations between boxes come from handwork rather than fault.
What we claim
Only what we can support. We describe aroma, flavour, culinary use and heritage; we make no medical or health claims, and we do not imply island origin for items sourced elsewhere.
